REN Clean Bio Active Skincare

I'm of the philosophy that there's absolutely nothing wrong with being comfortable in one's own skin, no matter the age. I'd just like that skin to be as wrinkle-free as possible ...
I've found the "magical formulas" that keep needles and botox injections at bay with the help of REN's anti-aging line of skincare ... love it! Of all the many serums, goops, creams, gels, and more I've tried, these products actually DO instantly plump wrinkles, minimizing the lines and firming the skin. You can see the lines diminish immediately after application. You can feel it working. You'll wake with skin that is refreshed and radiant. Here's the scoop:

Making a Difference at UNICEF's Snowflake Ball

Leoni in Calvin Klein

Téa Leoni accepted the Audrey Hepburn Humanitarian Award with her father in recognition of her family's continued service with young people in Africa. Leoni's late grandmother, Helenka Pantaleoni, established the U.S. Committee for UNICEF. "There wasn't a program for children when she founded the organization," Leoni said of her grandmother, speaking to an audience that included Julianne Moore, Maggie Betts, and Bryant Gumbel. "And I'm sad only that I couldn't do this with her."—Derek Blasberg

Liquid Assets

Pat McGrath got the rebellious look she was going for with boldy lined lids. First, she curled the lashes with a lash curler, then used CoverGirl LineExact Liquid Liner Pen in Very Black to draw an extended wing from the inner corner of the eye out toward the temple. "The bold liner gives this look a modern feel," said the makeup artist. She finished by brushing the top lashes only with Max Factor Volume Couture Mascara in Rich Black.

A Tale of Two Cities

If there's time to squeeze one cultural experience into the frantic schedule, it has to be this exhibit. Just a short trot in high heels from the main fashion tents, The Golden Age of Couture: Paris and London 1947-1957 is a landmark show bringing to life the heyday of couture through precious dresses, the indelible photography of Beaton and Avedon, and rare documentary film footage. A lost version of Dior's 1954 Zemire gown has been unearthed from a Paris basement just in time for the 60th anniversary of the New Look, and stands alongside several of John Galliano's recent homages to "Monsieur." Also highlighted is the work of Givenchy, Balenciaga, and London's Norman Hartnell and Hardy Amies.

Charlotte Tilbury for Zac Posen

"We are definitely enhancing the brow. We're doing it in a lighter version so it doesn't look too 'Zac.' I feel it's a modern-day New York Snow White. And we're putting a little bit of moisturizer just on here [the temples] so it does that whole dewy, fresh thing. Modern fairy tale."

Shaker Chic

Zac Posen's unlikely theme for his Spring 2008 collection was Shakerism, and befitting the religious denomination's beliefs in communal living and celibacy, the makeup conveyed a certain austerity. "Zac wanted a modern face, one that was minimal but still glamorous," said MAC makeup artist James Kaliardos, who designed the look for the show. To Kaliardos, that translated into a monochromatic palette made up of taupes, beiges, and silvers that lent a sculptured look to the models' faces.

All About Eyes

Kaliardos centered the look around a strong eye achieved with a trio of MAC eye colors: Satin Taupe (brown with a silver-bronze shimmer) on the lid; Omega (a muted beige) in the crease and brow; and, in the inner corner of the eye, Cash Flow (green-gold with gold pearl, available in October). He followed that with a hint of black liner along the lash line and black mascara on the lashes. "The makeup was applied horizontally to pull the eye outward. It makes for a newer look," said Kaliardos.
