Where can you get everything you need to create fabulous makeup looks with products that contain the very best in antioxidant and other good for your skin ingredients? Well, from Tarte of course!

Quite literally, the palette affords you hundreds of different looks and with high quality products at your fingertips. I've been having so much fun playing with a few of the shades and have so much more to go to really get the full benefit of owning one of these. As you'd expect with Tarte, their shadows are highly pigmented and offer a nice array of shades and shimmer to choose from; the lip glosses are very sheer but buildable to bring out more color and are super-hydrating to lips; the face powders and mineral bronzer give you everything you need to contour, highlight and sculpt your facial features to perfection. Your kit even includes eye brushes and mascara to complete any look you favor! The palette covering is a soft, guilded animal skin motif and contains all the trays easily with no mess to worry about. It closes securely with magnetic backing, so is an easy travel companion as well.

All products are loaded with skinvigorating™ ingredients: vitamin E, beeswax, rice bran wax, carnauba wax, and mineral pigments.

This set features:
- 16 brand-new eyeshadows
- 16 brand-new lipglosses

Hair Inspiration for the Season by Glamour UK

Fasincated to see what our sister nation says about this season's hair color trends? Here is Glamour UK's take on hair hues for Fall/Autumn with commentary from British colorist experts in their field. So, if you're in the mood for new color but not sure what to go for, fret not, because GLAMOUR's Style Inspiration section has them all covered. Whether you're looking for platinum blonde or jet black, get ready to be inspired.

For the look at top

Glamour guide: Echoing the fashion trend for jewel colours, this intense violet shade works brilliantly with a deceptively simple short style with asymmetric fringe and disconnected pieces to create an effect that’s different and daring, but ultra-sophisticated. Transformations such as these should be left in the hands of the salon expert, brunettes will need to be lightened first, for blondes it’s less complex, but the scope for disaster shouldn’t be underestimated.
~ Michelle Lawley @ Royston Blythe, Wolverhampton.

Glamour guide: Blonde offers a multitude of tonal opportunities for the mousy haired Brit. The cool blonde family comprises colours such as platinum, pearl, ash, pale beige and champagne. Choose muted tones of mink, blush and vanilla for an effect that is utterly contemporary and in tune with the edgy feminine looks of the season. Super-pale shades are best suited to anyone with an ivory or soft pink tinged complexion and blue or grey eyes.
~ Rae Palmer at Rae Palmer Hairdressing, Southsea, Hants, for Schwarzkopf.

Glamour guide: It’s all change in the hair colour spectrum as autumn rolls in. A rich au naturel palette for girls who just want to have fawn. Healthy hues of muted blonde in mink, toffee, honey and butterscotch are seductive without trying too hard. This is lifestyle friendly colouring at its best with an emphasis on inter-mixing shades so regrowth is much less obvious.
~ Mark Woolley, Electric, Brighton and Reading.

Glamour guide: The acceptable face of anarchy, pastelised blondes were a major story for summer, with Alphabeat’s Stine Bramsen among those reinventing the icy lilac of a 1950s Kim Novak for the Noughties festival crowd. The rebellious rainbow warrior vibe intensifies for autumn with ink blue tips and under-colouring giving rock chick blonde additional menace.
~ Karine Jackson for Karine Jackson Hair & Beauty, London WC2.

Glamour guide: Ravishing red really comes into its own against an autumnal landscape. However reds are a race apart when it comes to lifting and fading faster than any other shade. The fakers out there will find that red colour molecules are more volatile than any other dye and have a Houdini-esque ability to escape with every wash.
~ Gerard Scarpaci, Artistic Director, Aveda NY Academy, for Aveda.

Glamour guide: Spice up your life with damson, burgundy and aubergine tones blended together to produce vibrant effects flattering to warm and olive skins. For red hair to remain rich, radiant and ravishing, colour protection is essential. Aveda Madder Root Shampoo and Madder Root Conditioner aveda.com enhance warm and red shades with natural extracts and pigments.
~ Gerard Scarpaci, Artistic Director, Aveda NY Academy, for Aveda.

Glamour guide: Just like in fashion, black is back. Works best in contrast with ivory or black skins. One of the trickiest hair colours to carry off if you’re not a natural – it can look too harsh if you haven’t got either the complexion or the youthful bloom for it. Remember that a semi-permanent will jet propel you, you don’t have to take the plunge permanently, that way if your new look doesn’t grow on you it will eventually wash out.
~ hob creative team, hob salons London, Middx. Herts and Essex using Wella Professionals products.

Kaiya Eve Original Pettiskirt Couture

Kaiya Eve Couture, the original girl's "pettiskirt" line, comes in an array of designs reminiscent of yesteryear when little girls were dressed in petticoats and pantaloons and all things pretty in pink! Oh how this makes me wish my own little bella-boo was a wee tot again. I'd have adored dressing her up in one of these and given her a photo shoot all her own.

Kaiya Eve Pettiskirts with Satin Ribbon Binding

Now, having said that, keep in mind that 'big girls' enjoy dressing up in fanciful pettis too! For instance, take a look at 15-year-old designer and entrepreneur, Crystal Audigier, (Ed Hardy designer Christian Audigier's offspring), who rocks November's cover of L.A. Direct magazine in a Kaiya Eve design and not one of her own.

Vogue Beauty Spotlight: Jennifer Aniston for a December Beach Moment

For Jennifer Aniston's December Vogue magazine cover, makeup artist extraordinaire Gucci Westman and hairstylist Chris McMillan created a beachy look for the California-girl on a private beach in Malibu. Fashion director Tonne Goodman chose a ruby red Narciso Rodriguez dress for the cover. Westman helped Aniston relax before the shoot by applying a calming, soothing facial mask to her skin.

For Aniston's fresh, glowing look, Westman blended a cream bonzer with bright pink blush to warm up her face. Using as little makeup as possible, Westman swiped the same bronzer she used on Aniston's skin and cheeks onto her lids and undereye area; a touch of black mascara applied to the roots of her lashes accentuated Aniston's baby blues against the warm earth toned palette. A dab of concealer to lighten and define her mouth, then a sheer berry balm atop her lips completed the look.

For the December 2008 cover, Vogue used products from L'Oreal.
  • L'Oréal Brow Stylist 3-in-1 tool in medium dark brown, $12.99
  • L'Oréal Glam Bronze bronzing powder in Seductive Sunset, $12.99
  • L'Oréal HiP Jelly Balm in Luscious, $9

Vogue also recommends these products for a similar look:

  • Dior Powder Eyebrow Pencil in brown, $25, and Physicians Formula Organic Wear Origin Eyeshadow Duo in Brown Eyes, $7.95
  • Dior Bronze Matte Sunshine SPF 20 in Healthy Matte, $40, and Physicians Formula Organic Care Bronzer in Healthy Glow, $13.95
  • Dior Addict High Shine in Raspberry Rush, $25, and Physicians Formula Organic Wear Natural Origin Lip Veil in Organic Spice, $7.95
Dior products are available at saks.com; L'Oreal and Physicians Formula products are available at target.com and other drugstores. For more of Jennifer Aniston's photo shoot, the feature editorial and more, visit Style.com. Red Carpet Looks at the Country Music Awards 2008

Jennifer Nettles of Sugarland

So, did you watch the CMA's last night? I have to admit; I did not. Well, it's just that I'm not a huge country music fan, though I am very fond of some CM artists. Couple that with last night being the start-off to the new season of Top Chef (one of my faves), which won my viewing attention. However, I couldn't help but check out the fashion, beauty and styling from the night. As usual, there were some definite stunners (check out Jennifer Nettles above, best in my opinion) and some definite, shall we say, not so chic. I expect my fellow bloggers to post on these as well and I can't wait to see their reactions. =D

Visions of loveliness: Miranda Lambert (she's only 25; she looks older doesn't she), Miley Cyrus and Julianne Hough

Cute as a button - Carrie Underwood either dusted with a light body shimmer or lightly hydrated with a shimmery lotion - gorgeous

Taylor Swift - this little angel is adorable; the dress is absolutely beautiful and fitted to perfection, yet there's just something about her that reminds me of alien-lifeform.... is it just me?

Wow! What happened to little Diana DeGarmo? Talk about completely making yourself over

Oh, what can you say? The dress on Jewel is lovely, the color fabulous for her, but she did nothing to enhance the look. Her face is washed out and begs for some lip color, and can we all agree self-tanner is a bit passe' for Fall/Autumn?

Emily West, get thee to Rachel Zoe - pronto!

Oh no, someone mistakenly told Rodney Atkins he was going to a baseball game. Come on, Rod, wifey could have given you a clue - love Tammy's clutch

I love that picture of Brad Paisley and Keith Urban "gettin' down"; they look like they're having so much fun. And I adore Nicole, but she sometimes photographs as so severe. I just look at this and think the poor girl must have a headache with all that going on.

Luke Bryan proving tall, dark and handsome never goes out of style (though that tie could go back to the store with no compaints).

Jessica Andrews showing off in a shimmery muted seafoam green strapless number with fab dark green nails (fingers and toes) to accessorize - love it!
