One of my faves from the Fall Ready-To-Wear shows is without a doubt Peter Som. I love the elegance, sophistication and richness of this collection. On the beauty side, Pat McGrath, MU artist, never fails to please, and the wonderful burgundy lipped look here paired with doe-eyes is fabulous. The clothes, though, are by far the true stars ... mmmm .... delicious.
Claiming inspiration from the photographs of Diane Arbus' "quirky, dark and idiosyncratic" qualities, the designer pulled off a "reality-based, fantasy-oriented" collection, imagining these B&W photographs in color; his palette of choice - muted shades of cerise, lemon, navy, plum.
