Girls Aloud songstress Nicola Roberts has created a makeup collection for the fairest of the fair. In collaboration with Jelly Pong Pong, the UK popstar wanted colors and products that flattered her own skin tone, rather than having to blend in with shades darker than her own because that's all that was available. Result - Dainty Doll Collection. The collection is set to launch April 18, 2008, so be on the look out!
The collection consists of:
- Foundation - this is the prize of the collection for Nicola with its featured fair shades; super smooth skin souffle, so delicately soft and creamy as they adhere perfectly onto the skin. Formulated according to Nicola's combination skin, it is a matte perfection without being dry; Porcelain, Ivory and White
- Concealer - thick, heavily pigmented concealer covers imperfections and hides dark circles. It conceals and moisturizes the skin at the same time, making the final effect everything you've ever wanted from a concealer; infused with grapeseed oil; Fair and Natural
- Blush & Contour - add additional warmth to your skin with a touch of Nicola's dual blush that comes in a soft blusher shade & shadow enhancer, all in one large compact with mirror; Blossom (apricot) and Bloom (pink)
- Shadow & Base - Keep eyes sweet with Nicola's ultra-finely textured shades that glide on your eyes smoothly. Colours stay on all day without daring to flake or smudge, with the help of her added suede-textured, gold superior eye-base; Desert Rose, Honey Bronze and Apricot
- Plumping Gloss - A lip plumping, wildly shiny gloss that's formulated with a chilli extract, making it hotter than anything else. Available in colours of ripe pink and nutmeg, simply palm it on before you rump-shake the night away with amazing smell and subtle shimmer; Rosebud and Hibiscus

ReplyDeleteI can't wait to try this. With red hair and pale skin it's an absolute nightmare getting the right make-up! I'll be getting rid of all my other stuff and getting this. Fantastic!
ReplyDeleteIm not even a red head, but im as pail as anything this is just great and not too expensive! BRILL! :)
ReplyDeletefantastic! finally a make-up range for us pale red-heads! i think nicola has done a brilliant job, shes a great role model to younger girls! shes also a beautiful and talented singer! really well done! can't wait for the launch!
ReplyDeleteAparently Its Only £12 For The Foundation! Its Such Good Value. Nicola Is Actually Awsome. Thanks (: x
ReplyDeleteI really want some of this range, unfortunatly you can only buy it online (how can you tell which shade to buy?) or in the London store. In theory Nicola has done a great thing for those of us with pale skin, but only those who live in London get to try it! It is also limited edition, hopefully it will be continued as it's not fair to give a solution to our makeup problems then take it away again.
ReplyDeleteHi all you fair-skinned, dainty Doll lovers ... there's an update to this post, so check it out here:

Hope you're able to get your hands on this collection before it sells out Friday!

At last, something to keep us fair skinned girls pale and interesting and apart from the bronzed bimbos. We'll have the last laugh as the sun bed crowd will be wrinkly when older.
ReplyDeleteI dont wear foundation so i just ordered the lip gloss, blusher and conceler yesterday and they arrived this morning. fast delivery!!!!!
ReplyDeleteI have to say I'm VERY IMPRESSED. The lip gloss slightly tingles your lips to make them look for fuller.. you can really see the difference.
I used the blusher my boyfriend said you my cheek bones looked amazing... that'll do for me.
The conceler is lovely.. its thick so it covers bags very well, despite being thick it feels light on my skin and make my eyes look bright and stunning.
The packaging is beautiful and the quality of the products is top notch. also id say the price is reasonable.
I've always been eager to embrace being so pale and ginger... this range really helps and I'm so happy :)
p.s aparently its limited edition so here's the link!!!

Hey, im very pale and LOVE the fact that some ones finally embraced us pale people! but iv got very light almost bleach looking blond hair... and i was just wondering whether other people think that pale can work on a blond or whether to just stick with my layers of bronzer? love. flickles. xx
ReplyDeleteCurlyredhed..thats me long dark red curly hair and i am 57 so Girls i have been wanting this for 40 odd years so will be getting several items from this range
ReplyDeletei got my foundation the other day and im really disappointed. the colour (ivory) is excellent but the texture is awful its a mouse foundation and leaves my face looking dry and patchy, which never usually happens. i just wish they made it in a liquid foundation. :(
ReplyDeleteI really hope it's not limited edition, and she expands the range. Mine arrived this morning - I love the white foundation, but can't fathom why it contains so much sodding glitter! I'm annoyed, because I wanted a reasonably priced everyday make up to replace custom-blended Prescriptives at £45 a pop! Also, the palest concealer is much too dark and yellow - she should bring out a creamy white shade to match the foundation! It's such a great idea, but I can't help being disappointed. At least she's highlighted the issue and uncovered a niche market, so us pale girls can hope for more products in future!
ReplyDeleteit's important to exfoliate regularly and prime the skin with a really good moisturiser before using this, but i love how you don't really need a powder, because of the texture - i did wonder why the range didn't include one!
ReplyDeleteThis will be great in summer, when my face is covered in a thick layer of spf50+, as it's not greasy at all!
smart move, just a shame about the glitter - it's not even subtle shimmer, but body-glitter type silvery bits on my face!
Hi im from Ireland and bought the make up im pale and when i put it on it sat on ok the concealer is great but the foundation isnt as great. It is very expensive as most make up in ireland costs about a 10 euro the foundation cost 16 but for the size of it it was half the size of maybeline dream matte mousse seriously it is tiny and the concealer is small aswell but it is good make up needs more of a selection and the fact that you cant buy it in ireland only over the web it needs to be cheaper and bigger. P.s i really dont think nicola uses it because they(foundation and concealer) arent white like her
ReplyDeletei love the new dainty doll make up! its amazing, i brought the ivory foundation and it is soo smooth! i hope she continues the range and makes more blushers and liquid foundation! i am a pale skin BRUNETT yeh i have brown hair naturally with ultra pale skin, i hate that people think i dye my hair or that its only red heads that have pale skin because there not the only ones!!!
ReplyDeletepeace out xxxx
SO SO looking forward to this makeup range horray!
ReplyDeleteI REALLY WANT TO GET THIS MAKE-UP BUT WHERE CAN YOU GET IT FROM AS I AM A RED HEAD AND I REALLY WANT TO USE IT
