Get Smitten with A Beautiful Life

Sparkling top notes of tangerine and white pepper melt into a bed of creamy florals, anchored by the warmth of sheer woods and a touch of patchouli. Smitten yet?

Smitten™ is a blend of the finest fragrant and essential oils, sourced from around the world, poured right here by hand in the USA by husband and wife team Jennifer and Tony Artur. These creative artists, more on that later, blend the fragrance themselves in their hip, trendy New Hope, PA boutique, A Beautiful Life. You'll find press on A Beautiful Life all over the place (Allure, Lucky, InStyle magazines and more), and those who have experienced the store, and the owners, first hand rave about them!

A talented makeup artist, brow shaper and facialist, Jennifer holds degrees in English, Music and Advanced Medical Aesthetics. She's been a celebrity makeup consultant, buyer and retail manager, and director of charity gift programs for the likes of NBC television producers. She and her husband both have a huge affinity for music, and both have lent their musical talents to rock bands - hers to Birthday Girl and his to Brother Eye, jointly with a band called Coverboy. Tony studied journalism and worked as a professional chef, another creative venue, prior to opening A Beautiful Life with his wife in 2002.

Think their love of all things creative stops with music, or food, or blending signature fragrance? Hell no! The couple called on Jennifer's nearly ten years of professional award-winning makeup artistry to create their own line of A Beautiful Life cosmetics. Their sheer lip glosses are named after rockin' one-word album titles (Gish, Transformer, Loveless); eye shadows are named after classic tattoo flash (Anchor, Cherry, Mermaid ), and the pressed powders are named after timeless fragrance notes (Tuberose, Ginger, Patchouli).

At left, A Beautiful Life's Blush in the shade of Orchid is featured on Reese Witherspoon in OK! magazine. You can find other makeup brands in their store as well. Dr. Hauschka, 100% Pure, Lip Lingerie by Dianne Brill, Lipstick Queen by Poppy King, Rosie Jane Cosmetics, PRITI Soy-Based Nail Polish all grace the shelves. Not to mention, other products for skincare, bath, haircare, fragrance and apothecary needs are all there too! You'll also find a hip selection of left-of-center clothing labels, cheeky lingerie, jewelry, Tarina Tarantino and more featured.

They also offer grooming care for men, something Tony Artur talks about and with a smile on his face, "Guys are not afraid to spend the time and money on themselves anymore. In fact, the business world is so competitive that it is a necessity for a lot of guys. But, they still want to keep it simple." You'll find lines like ZIRH, Tend Skin, Baxter of California and others there.

What makes A Beautiful Life different from other lifestyle boutiques?
Per Tony, "We offer the best of the best. There's something here for everyone. We serve a niche high-end market without being intimidating. We are rock and rollers at heart, and we don't put on airs. We never underestimate the customer. Our main criteria is that any line that we carry must be of uncompromising quality and tell a story through the packaging and branding."
