Fall 2008 Fashion Trends

designer: Burberry Prorsum

Style has put out their trend categories for this year's fall fashion. Let's visit a few of these categories with respective representations from the top designers.

Peplums anyone? Designers are accentuating the waist this fall in the form of jackets, dresses and skirts with soft architectural curves reminiscent of the 1940's.

Designers (L-R,T-B): Balenciaga, Burberry Prorsum, Diane von Furstenberg, Giorgio Armani, Lanvin, Prada, Versace, Yves Saint Laurent

Going ga-ga for plaid and tweed, designers are layering fabrics, shearling, and furs.

Designers (L-R,T-B): Carolina Herrera, D&G, Michael Kors, Marni, Rag & Bone, Thakoon

Accentuating a lean silhouette in mid-calf to floor-grazing in long layers of fabric, these looks are both modest yet sexy.

Designers (L_R,T_B): Akris, Carlos Miele, Derek Lam, Erin Fetherston, Vivienne Westwood Red Label, Yves Saint Laurent

Well, we all know the minimalist fashion of the Calvin Klein brand, but others are putting on the brakes opting for a less is more look for fall as well.

Designers (L-R,T-B): Calvin Klein, Doo.Ri, Hermes, Junya Watanabe, Lanvin, MaxMara, Prada, Salvatore Ferragamo
