Stay Away, Gustav

Well, it goes without saying but I'll say it anyway - "Here we go again"

My sweeties, depending on what's in store for my little city of New Orleans in light of projected forecasting for Gustav, I may be MIA from here for a while. The folks here are buzzing about filling their tanks with gas, planning evacuations, booking hotel rooms to escape to in northern areas far from the coast and bascially getting their affairs in order. No one wants a repeat of what happened when Hurricane Katrina blew through.

I'll be back as soon as I can. And if I get "stuck" somewhere for days (like during Katrina) and happen to have electricity and internet access, you'll be seeing quite a bit of me here as I try to fill my days with happy thoughts!

Send us a little sunshine ... xo

  2. Oh no! Be careful out there, Roxy. We want you back in one piece. Actually we NEED you back in one piece 'cuz we love For the Love. Oh, oh, oh, did you see you're in an Organic Apoteke ad. I was like, I know her when I saw that.

    Wish you a safe weekend.

  3. Stay safe! Here in Florida we're getting worried about Hanna, which is right behind Gustav. You'll be in my thoughts and prayers.

  5. Thanks so much, everyone!

We've evacuated at this point and early enough to escape all the horrendous traffic : )

I feel so sorry for those who are still on the highways trying to get to there evacuation destinations ... it's pretty much bumper to bumper. Please continue sending my fellow Louisianians good thoughts and prayers.

I plan to get online and do a little blogging as long as I can get a connection. It keeps me from thinking about the inevitable.

Your prayers and thoughts are greatly appreciated - thank you! xo
