Swedish Rock: Beauty Products that Hold Up

Swedish pop singer and songwriter Robyn Carlsson, better known by simply "Robyn" has been on the music scene since the age of 13 and has travelled the world as an ambassador for UNICEF. She'll be touring late-summer with Madonna on her European "Sticky and Sweet" Tour. One would think this girl has the ticket for beauty products that hold up under lights, sweat and the hectic life on tour. As shown by Elle, these are Robyn's faves.

Onstage Must
The Swedish pop star amplifies her eyes with Shu Uemura False Lashes Luxe and Bobbi Brown Long-Wear Gel Eyeliner. "I sweat like a pig under lights, so I need something waterproof."

Drugstore Habit
Affordable Johnson's baby powder volumizes the singer's "thin Scandinavian hair" and lets her "go days on tour without having to wash it."Johnson's baby powder, $4, at walgreens.com

Bank Breaker
"Generic sunscreen reminds me of a bad vacation." Peter Thomas Roth Uber-Dry Sunscreen SPF 30 "doesn't sting your eyes and is great if you tend to break out."

  1. I must admit, I have never used fake eyelashes...and it's not because I have long lashes already! I guess I have never know which ones to buy, now I do though. Thanks! Oh, ande the baby powder tip...had no idea!

  2. UGH, I'm a HUGE Robyn fan. I expected her to be more of a Jet Set Liner kinda gal. She always made me want to buy a tonne of scarves...

  3. Lee - on the baby powder, I think a lot of hair companies are really trying to market that dry-powder spray product right now, good old baby powder seems to do the trick for Robyn. ; )

Sarah - She definitely is setting some trends with those scarves!
