Coming Soon: Dans Tes Bras by Editions de Parfum Frederic Malle

Frédéric Malle, founder of Editions de Parfum, held court in the Penthouse at Barneys New York's Madison Avenue flagship last Tuesday evening to unveil his latest fragrance, a women's scent called Dans Tes Bras that's set to be launched in the fall. Months of the actual introduction vary from September to November. The fragrance will range in price from $150 - $200 for 50ml to 100ml bottles.

Dan tes Bras, translated means "in your arms", was created by Maurice Roucel for the niche fragrance house. Roucel's first fragrance for them was Musc Ravageur, which enjoys still today quite a following.

Says Frédéric Malle about the essence of the new fragrance, "Rather than an extroverted sensuousness, we tried to illustrate the scent of intimacy, a sort of trace of the loved one, something that we'd want to keep forever, an understated perfume, a quiet addiction." The new creation is based on a key sensual ingredient called Cashmeran, a mix of musk, woods, and resin. The new fragrance is said to be infused with lots of it (an understatement)! Both Malle and Roucel are said to be passionate about this raw material. Notes include bergamot, cloves, violet, jasmine, sandalwood, patchouli, frankincense, cashmeran, heliotrope, white musk.

"We hoped to capture the deep and lasting odor of warm skin, with all its salty hints and rich, intimate complex overtones."
